Remember little 11-week old, blonde Zizu? Just wanted you to know how he is doing. He's turned into the best little dog and is sooo happy. Here he is (on the left) with Nemo, his older brother. He's sitting still for the pic but believe me, he's a bundle of energy. Wile is a year old now and his obsession is to chase and bark at the squirrels in the back yard. When we go for walks, he stares up into the trees looking for those pesky things. He loves his chocolate brother Nemo and loves to stand up and put his front arms across Nemo's back and together they run through the yard like that. It's really weird!
Thank you for the wonderful thing you are doing by saving these little animals. We love Wile and he's so happy!

Janus
Just wanted to let everyone know how well Janus is doing. He has been so much fun! He and Ty are getting along famously. The neighbors dog Howie comes over almost every day now just to play. We go to the park every day for our walk and he gets soooo much attention there he loves it! Janus also loves the lake! We have also started agility training which he seems to really enjoy. He is so smart and fun to hang out with. He has been great for Ty they are always playing though I must admit Janus has a lot more energy then Ty does these days.
Again thank you for saving him. He has brought a lot of life into this home.

JACK on FAT TUESDAY!
Jack was living by the railroad tracks north of Fair Park when found, and it took several days of feeding him before he'd let himself be caught. We figure that since the fair was closed he was holding out for Mardi Gras! Ha!

Levi's first year!
Happy year old adoption anniversary. I finally got some of Mom's white Llaso Apso hair. It just forgot to grow to the floor. I am a bundle of fun!!!! Dad must have been a Tramp from Lady and the Trap. (I kind of look like him, too). I strut through the neighborhood winking at all the girls. If they are real cute I will do my flop and roll in the grass to see if they are watching. My human Mom, Sarah, calls me Munchkin. She hugs me and rubs my belly. She is a big girl in High School, but I am almost as long as she is when I lay down beside her (well, from her head to her waist, at least). Man, I love my home with my human Grandma and my brother, Solomon. Thank you for rescuing us from that animal shelter !!!! My family loves me. I love you at City Pet Rescue, but I think I'll just stay here at home if that's ok.

Cleo's First year!
Cleo (aka Carmella) is a year old now. She doesn't act like it - still a crazy puppy - but she is one year old! Cleo is a handful, but,she is very smart (which means she often thinks I'm not), and she's still so cute. She's grown to be about 35-40 pounds now, and still has looooong legs. She often reminds us of a deer. We would love to hear the stories and see pictures of her litter mates.

Salsa, aka Yoshi,
lives in a downtown high rise apartment, visits her friend's house where she gets to hang out by their pool, goes to the dog park where she has lots of new friends, and is a huge Maverick's fan!

Barney
Just wanted to give ya’ll a little update on Barney (adopted in Feb 06)- he’s doing great and I love him more everyday. He’s become the neighborhood favorite and has lots of little friends all over. I take him nearly everywhere I go, and we’ve even found some cool pet friendly spots to hang out. He has made such a positive impact on my life and I am ever grateful for our togetherness.
Thank you again for rescuing him- I know in my heart that Barn and I were meant to be.

Rusty
Wanted to let you know that Rusty, whom we have renamed Dobby after the little house elf in the Harry Potter series, is doing great. He and Max absolutely LOVE each other and have been playing, chasing, and hanging out nonstop since we brought them home Sat. afternoon. On Sun. morning we took them to my parents' land, and Dobby had so much fun playing with the other dogs as well as hiking in the woods and swimming in the creek. He is such a smart, well-behaved boy; he already seems to know that we're his people and Max is his brother. Dave and I are so glad we adopted him. He is everything we wanted in a brother for Max and an addition to our family of pets. :)

Simon & Gracie
Hello! Simon & Gracie (formerly known as Gratzi) have had their 1st birthday and are doing wonderfully! It is amazing how fast these little ones grow. When we first brought them home these two lived behind the water heater for several days, and then the dryer, but as you can see they eventually warmed up and have no "people" issues anymore. Simon (orange tabby) is Mr. Affection, and makes sure he has your attention when necessary (which is always!). Gracie is very independent and has a strange obsession with a toy mouse which needs to be thrown at least 100 times per day. What a great duo! We love them! Thanks for allowing us the pleasure of these two litter mates.

Mario
We just wanted to drop a quick note to say thanks for everything. My son decided he would change Furio's name to Mario. I think it is easier for him to remember how to pronounce it. Here are pictures of our first full day with Mario. He and our shar-pei Holly didn't get off to the best start Saturday night, but now have decided they can get along for the most part. Mario is a playful little guy and the kids love playing with him. We think he is going to be a great new addition to our family!
