Becky is a gorgeous, mocha colored
female pit bull terrier who LOVES every one she meets. She was very
neglected by her first owners so is learning what it means to live indoors
and be considered a member of the family. Becky does not do well with other
female dogs. But she is

Anatolian/lab mix - 1 year old - female
Betty Grable is about a year old now and
she's quite a big girl, weighing in at around 65 lbs. She's really just a
big, goofy puppy! Betty looks like a lab with something
else big mixed in. Maybe American Bulldog, maybe some pyrenese..? Betty has a lot of energy
and needs lots of exercise. She is smart if not a little stubborn when she
wants to be. But she is doing well with the basic commands. She is housetrained, can use a doggy door, and is not
at all
destructive so can be left alone in the house with no worries. She does
tend to jump when she gets excited but it's a gentle jump that doesn't knock
you over like some big labs will do. Betty will be a great family pet.

Charlie
Basset hound - 2 years old - male
Charlie is a small basset hound, we think mixed with maybe some beagle?
because he's full grown and weighs in at just around 37-40 lbs. And he's and
absolute DOLL!! And a very happy guy, as you can see from his expressions.
He's always in a good mood. He loves everyone he meets and gets along great
with other dogs. Charlie is an easy going guy. Likes leisurely walks and
generally just wants to be with his people. Charlie has lived his entire
life outdoors until he came to us. So he's been in training to learn proper
in-house etiquette and he's doing great. He's crate trained now and house

Ginger
Golden mix - 2 years old - female
This sweet girl was scheduled to be euthanized at a local animal shelter
when saved her! She is a beautiful small version of a Golden Retriever
weighing only 32 lbs. She has the sweetest disposition and loves to be
cuddled, and she never meets a stranger. She gets along great with all kinds
of dogs and cats and children. She is house trained and crate trained.
We have learned that Ginger has a condition called Mega-Esophagus which
means her esophagus does not work right to process her food. She has to be
fed sitting upright in her special chair we had built for her and her food
must be blended to a “milkshake” consistency so gravity from sitting upright
can send the food down to her tummy. We hope to find a special person to
adopt Ginger who can take care of her unique feeding requirements and
monitor her condition.

Terrier

Hoover is the most HANDSOME fellow EVER!
He's got personality plus to go with his good looks. He is 2 years old, long legged and lean at
80 lbs, and loves to show you just how
fast he can maneuver in a big back yard, or in a pool of water. He's also a
really great jogging buddy, and getting better and better at it every day.
He'll have it down pat soon. He stays at the street corners and sits on
command. Hoove is so darn smart! He'll steal apples off the counter to
satisfy his sweet tooth, if you're not watching, and eats his carrots, too.

Boston Terrier mix - 5-6 years old - male
The way Frankie flies around his foster
home, up and down the stairs keeping pace with the other big dogs, you would
never know that he is a bit vision impaired. Frankie gets around just fine!
And he is a total sweetheart. Loves his people and just wants to be your
buddy. He has such a great attitude, greeting each day with a positive

Roxanne is a sweet older retriever mix who was found wandering alone and was
taken in by a good neighbor. She is now looking for her perfect retirement
home. Not that she's an old lady. . . she's maybe 4-5 and has a good long,
active life ahead of her. Roxanne would make a walking companion. Plus she's
past all the puppy stuff like chewing things up and not being house trained.

and barked at his foster dad at first, but settled down with him in a very
short time. Frank is such a happy little dog with good energy. If you'd like

American Staffordshire Terrier - 3 yrs. old - female
Spika has the softest coat imaginable. She's just over 3 years old now.
Spika loves even the postman, who brings her a treat every day...imagine
that! She would do great w/ a boy dog or is quite content all on her own.
She prefers to sleep with her person, but is very good about going to her
own bed if told to do so. She loves her walks, and, of course, to go for
rides to the store.
